The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
Even the Russians can see it. Why can't we?
I'm reminded of the words of Senator Padme' in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith--"So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause."
